Santemp Company
occupies 2 buildings in Eastern Market, with a total of
23,000 square feet of refrigerated, secure storage, 3 inspection rooms and 4
loading docks. Don’t let the historic surroundings fool you … all Santemp
buildings have had major renovations and upgrades and are considered
best-in-class in the industry.

Metro Cold Storage is located in the Historic Eastern Market area of Detroit
and has been in
business since 1979. During that time, we have been of service to many customers in the United States and Canada. |
Eastern Cold Storage
was built in 1922 and has had several major
modifications. There are three docks and 7 floors of coolers and freezers.

Security is a major priority at The Santemp Company. We employ both active and
passive security systems, providing our customers a worry-free level of security
for their product. During normal operating hours, we have trained security
personnel on constant patrol of all facilities and trucks as they are waiting.
Our state of the art security includes several digital cameras (and digital
recorders) that provide 24/7 surveillance of the exterior views of the buildings
and parking areas. Inside of our facilities we restrict access to the working
areas of the building to specific badge holders. All visitors to our offices
must sign in to receive a badge and then are accompanied by an employee
entrusted to that area.
